Surfaces
It's all about the surfaces! With wood fired pots, you need to look beyond the overall form. Attention to detail is essential in evaluating and appreciating the pot. The flame contacting and the ash settling on the pottery during the firing process result in surfaces achievable only through this process. Combining these effects with the various glazes that are applied to many of the pots before they go into the kiln and you have some amazing results!
